After a home closes, what can my clients expect from me?
My relationship with my clients definitely doesn’t end once we walk away from the closing table - you become part of the Dogwood family! I follow up with my clients after closing to make sure that they have moved in alright and will try to help resolve any issues that may have popped up after closing. I also keep in touch throughout the year and offer FREE real estate reviews each year to give my clients an idea of their home’s current value. This can be very helpful during tax season when those appraisals come out.
But really, I just love my clients. To show them how much I value them, I host multiple client appreciation events throughout the year - all of which are 100% free. In years past, I’ve arranged for my past clients to have professional family Christmas photos taken. I’ve also hosted private screenings of popular movies at a local theatre (the week they come out.) I have even hosted a Ladies Night Out with a wine tasting and cookie decorating class. I also like to bring special treats to my clients when I’m in their part of town or surprise them with birthday cookies. There have been times when I have hosted a housewarming party for some clients.
One of the best parts of this business has been the number of friends I have made by helping people with their home buying or selling experience. The greatest compliment I can possibly receive is a referral from a past client. I like to reward these as well – typically in the form of gift cards and a big thank you!
